Marcus Visionary & Lush’s Inner City Dance Announces First Tune On New EP

In their never ending quest to uncover and stand behind the freshest cuts from across the Hardcore Continuum, Marcus Visionary & Lush’s Toronto based Inner City Dance imprint continues to build its ever growing profile as a label to watch. “In Our City” Volume 1 curates four crucial cuts of contemporary Drum & Bass sourced from a cast of artists who are all products of the cities storied love affair and history with the genre, and represent the constantly evolving talent pool of producers in Canada’s largest city.

Aptly titled “The Arrival”, Dcision, RMS & Shotz make their Inner City Dance debut with this weighty, nostalgic stomper. Both in combination and solo, these three producers are getting set to make waves out of Toronto this year with a growing catalog of Jungle leaning weaponry in their arsenal, and “The Arrival” is a statement of intent from the burgeoning trio. Capturing the lost dance floor magic of mid 90’s Digital and Photek excursions, the boys lend current production gloss to a timeless aesthetic. Shimmering punching amens roll out neatly while tribal tom toms formulate an infectious hook all grounded by a chest pounding sound system B line. Dub effects, time stretched voices and dramatic atmosphere all lend to the tracks undoubtedly “Space Funk” feel, revived for the 2015 dance floor. More to come from this exciting group.

The EP drop on June 29th at all good digital record outlets!
